Before allowing them to repair your vehicle, verify that the mechanic has A.S.E. certification. The basis of this certification is that your mechanic has over two years of experience and they have passed appropriate testing. That means only the best will work on your car.
Make sure there is an emergency kit located in your vehicle at all times. You can make your own; include things that you will have to have to put on a spare, add gas or charge the battery. Blankets, matches, a flashlight, extra batteries, cans of food and some water help, too.
Get a referral if you want to see a reputable mechanic. You can ask anyone you trust, from your hairdresser to your family. Ask about how much they paid, the quality of the repairs and the customer service. You’ll get a real feel for the experience and the honesty of the mechanic.
